ABOUT US - Fall 2011 - VBC TURNOVER COMPLETE! sticky icon

The Victory Base Council has closed up shop. As part of the overall drawdown, all VBC functions have been handed over to our Iraqi partners. Many thanks to all of you who participated over the four years VBC was in operation!

VBC was a group of volunteers stationed on the Victory Base Complex, "doing their best" to start and support scouting in the areas around Camp Victory - and thus we called ourselves the Victory Base Council. We were following in the legendary footsteps of the Green Zone Council, running strong from 2004 to 2009 in the International Zone ("Green Zone"), about 15km to the east, in Baghdad. Check out our most recent NEWSLETTER below (click on the word "attachment"), and archives of past newsletters in the 'News and Events' tab.
